An Exchange in Umění

In 2011, I had been commissioned by the Czech art journal Umění to review the major book Czech Photography in the 20th Century by Vladimír Birgus and Jan Mlčoch; the review included some comments on Czech surrealist photography.

Subsequently, in 2014, a review of our book by Karel Císař responded at the same time to my article. I have therefore included both here.
