Arthur Tress
This review of Tress’s book Rambles, Dreams and Shadows was published in Source, 11 (Winter 2023).
Shortly after, I received an email from Arthur Tress himself, now in his eighties and living in San Francisco. He enthused over the review and said that, if I came out there, he would make the portrait I refer to at the end. Once more, I politely demurred.
