City of Gorged Dreams
City Gorged with Dreams is, I think, my most often referenced work, at least among other writers on surrealism & photography. One of the reasons for that is surely the title. This essay explores where that phrase came from and what its effect is. In addition, it leads into an inquiry into the nature of translation.
